* SC granted four weeks to states to respond to a plea for the effective implementation of the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act and the related rules.
* Telecom major Vodafone Idea Ltd has moved SC seeking quashing of the additional AGR demands for the period until 2016-17.
* Reserved category, who has availed relaxation in fees/upper age limit to participate in open competition with general candidates, cannot later be considered for selection against unreserved category vacancies if the recruitment rules prohibit such migration, SC said.
